Observation Expedia

Expedia is a one-stop destination for hotel bookings, itineraries, and transportation. Their real-time data display makes it possible to always get the best deal, the best route, the best stay for your dollar and your desires. To surprise and delight Expedia’s audience we used their data and tech to update an old tourist favorite: the tower viewer.

The tower viewer will be modified to support a screen, camera, and sensors for position. The viewer will report its X (horizontal) and its Y (vertical) angles to the software.

The final interface design eliminated the need for a category select dial. The concept was refined to a simple cross-hair hover, hold, reveal and press button to print content solution.
